Health Sciences
In response to a January 2022 United States Supreme Court ruling, all students participating in the Health Sciences program must be vaccinated against COVID-19.
An SSN is required by the state to participate to take the CNA certification exam. Students must also receive a clean background check and drug screen to participate in clinicals.
This course fully immerses students into healthcare through lab and patient care experiences, college-level academic coursework in anatomy and physiology, and clinical rotations at area hospitals and assisted living facilities.
Students MUST begin this program at the start of their junior year - no mid-year or senior enrollment is available.
Prerequisites at time of sophomore review:
Minimum of 7 total credits; of these, 5 must be core credits (1 must be in English, 1 must be lab- based science), on track to graduate, must be 16 years old on the first day of class
Students must demonstrate their ability to maintain positive behavior without any physical altercations noted in their school record or any other school documentation.
Also recommended: "C" or higher in all science courses
