EMT

Our Emergency Medical Technician major is an academy level course that immerses students into professional training. Using a wide range of life-saving medical and diagnostic equipment, students develop their skills through real world emergency scenarios and field experiences.

This course is only for seniors and is only offered during the morning session.

Minimum Core Needed

Includes credits from  ELA, Math, Science, and Social Studies, PLUS up to 1/2 credit Health, 1/2 credit Personal Finance , and 1 credit PE

Additional Prerequisites Essential to Participation in this Program
  • C or higher in all science courses attempted
  • Biology strongly recommended prior to enrollment
  • An SSN is needed to sit for First Responder and EMT certifications
  • A medical physical, clean background check, and drug screening must be passed and submitted by the first day of class
