Cosmetology
Students must provide a social security number and birth certificate before the program begins to attain their student cosmetology license.
This is an exclusive high school program offering the same curriculum as a beauty college without tuition costs. All aspects of cosmetology including all hair, nail, and skincare services are included. Students learn in a full-service salon along with classroom instruction from licensed Cosmetologists. By graduation, students will have had the opportunity to earn all of the hours required to take their Missouri State Board certification exam to become a licensed cosmetologist.
Prerequisites at time of Sophomore review:
Minimum of 9 total credits; of these, 5.5 must be core credits (1 must be in English), on track to graduate
Students must demonstrate their ability to maintain positive behavior an attendance.
Also recommended: On grade-level reading skills, "C" or higher in all science courses, passing grades in all English courses
Prerequisites at time of Junior review for SENIOR ONLY, 1-year program:
Minimum of 12.5 total credits; of these, 9.5 must be core credits (2 must be in English), on track to graduate
