North Tech offers real world, hands-on programs that help students build skills for college and careers. If you’re ready to learn by doing, Tech is the right fit for you.

Because we receive more applications than we have seats in some programs, students who meet requirements are placed into a random selection process. This gives all qualified applicants an equal chance at admission. To ensure your application is included, please submit it by the priority deadline.

Who can apply to Tech?

How do I apply?

When do I apply?

If you are applying for ourSophomore Exploration program, you should apply during the first semester of your freshman year.
If you are applying for a two-year program, you should apply during the first semester of your sophomore year. If admitted, you will begin attending Tech your junior year. Two-year programs do NOT require you to reapply for your senior year.
If you are applying to attend senior year only, you should apply during the first semester of your junior year.

Do I need to attend Preview Night?

Yes! This event is not required, but all interested students and families are strongly encouraged to attend.
Tech programs are real-world, full immersions into careers. They are exciting, engaging, and differ from the traditional high school experience. The BEST way to understand what Tech is about is to visit us.
Preview Night offers you the opportunity to fully explore our programs and be sure Tech is the right choice for you.

What are the requirements to be eligible to apply to Tech?

When will my application and documents be reviewed?

If you are applying for our Sophomore Exploration program, your application and documents will be reviewed starting in January of your freshman year.
If you are applying for a two-year program, your application and documents will be reviewed starting in January of your sophomore year.
If you are applying for a senior, one-year program, your documents will be reviewed starting in January of your junior year.

Do I earn high school or college credit?

Yes, our Tech majors earn 1.5 high school credits per semester, and these fulfill your practical arts credit requirement for graduation.
Some also have academic credits incorporated.
Both a student’s earned credit and grade are sent to their home high school and included in their transcript and GPA.
Many Tech programs also offer articulated college credit and/or dual college credit opportunities.
