Early Childhood Center
Our Philosophy
We strive to provide a warm, nurturing atmosphere that promotes growth and development of the total child. Believing that all children have worth and importance, the center staff constantly work to provide experiences that will help each child meet with success and develop a positive self-concept through learning to express feelings, control actions, and develop a balance between independent and dependent behavior.
Our Mission
The Early Childhood Education (ECE) Centers (ECC) at South Technical High School are operated by the College and Career Readiness Department of Special School District of St. Louis County. The purpose of the ECC Center is to provide a high quality child care setting as a demonstration laboratory for students enrolled in the ECC program. The center is a place for young children to play and learn. We believe it is the responsibility of the school administration, the ECC staff, the students, and the parents, working together, to ensure the health and well-being of the children who attend our centers.
North Technical High School ECC centers operate Monday through Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. following the high school calendars. Transportation to and from the center is the sole responsibility of the parents.
Tuition payments are due on Monday by the close of the center. Any payment that is not received by Wednesday of the week of service will be charged a Late Fee of $10. Five late payments will result in dismissal from the program.
Tuition cost is $35 per day.
